Limits
A limit is the value a function approaches, which need not be the value it takes.
A worked example
(x² − 9)/(x − 3) is 0/0 at x = 3, but factoring gives x + 3, so the limit is 6.
The mistake people actually make
A 0/0 form does not mean the limit fails to exist. It means factor and cancel first.
